Why do we see young people with braces (7-10 yrs old)?

With early intervention we can eliminate the need for long term orthodontic treatment, extraction, headgear, and surgery.

Can I use Invisalign Braces?

We do not utilize the Invisalign system due to it's limited application and high cost. We do utilize a similiar system that is far more cost effective. We provide (clear) porcelain braces as an option for adults.

Do braces hurt?

Orthodontic treatment has changed in the last 15 years. We use light wires for slow continues pressure. We do not twist, crank and tighten braces anymore.

Can I chew gum?

No gum, caramel, gummy bears, milk duds, jelly beans, tootsie rolls, bit-o-honey, skittles, starburst, cry babies, licorice, dots, taffy, airhead, and etc. Sticky foods will extend orthodontic treatment, due to the bending of wires.

What are the warning signs of a bad bite?

Children mature at different rates, there are some averages for permanent tooth arrival.
  • Upper front teeth protrude or are "bucked"
  • Top front teeth grow in behind the bottom front teeth
  • Space exists between the top and bottom front teeth with the back teeth biting together
  • Difficulty Chewing (TMJ)
  • Crowed teeth, extra teeth, or overlapped teeth
